Remus winced at his words. Not only was he powerless against Snape, but now the Slytherin was mocking him. A new emotion rushed through him, anger. A fire blazed in his eyes. As Snape stared at him, he stared right back at him with such hatred. This guy was ridiculous. Remus had tried to apologize and end this, but Snape just needed to keep going.

For once in his life, the young man let his animalistic side come through willingly. If he was magically disabled, he would just have to use physical means. Remus pounced on his nemesis with brute strength. Once pinning him to the floor he proceeded to punch at him everywhere he could manage.

This was no longer just a quarrel, Remus needed to protect his pride. If he gave up to this piece of slime he would be a disgrace to all Gryffindors alike. He felt his knuckles becoming cut and bruised, but he ignored the pain. The adrenaline rushing through him was overpowering.
