What would make you join? « Thread Started on Mar 22, 2009, 10:35pm »
For all guests. I have one question to ask you.
What could we do that would make you want to join?
Also, if you wanna answer these questions, go ahead:
What do you look for in a Marauders RP site? Is there anything you think we could do better? Is there anything you think would make this site more appealing to yourself and others?
Members may answer these too. Consider it a survey so we can make this place as popular as it can get.

What do you look for in a Marauders RP site? Well, this seems about right on track for a good Marauders Site, I really liked the idea of inviting another school with students with abilities. I just had a few questions: why is it a Italian school? (and not Spanish or something else? Was that decision purely personal?)
The school is Italian because the title of the site is La Bella Luna, it is Italian for The Beautiful Moon. However, after this full school year was over I was thinking about asking the members what school they would like to see.
Is there anything you think we could do better? I also think there could be thought up a better name for this school, it just doesn't 'roll of' the tongue like Hogwarts/Beauxbatons/Durmstrang does.
The name is Incompertus because the school is Italian and the Latin language started in Italy, Incompertus is Latin for Unknown.
Is there anything you think would make this site more appealing to yourself and others? Well, I was looking what I should do, register with a name of a character that I would want to play with, and then post the application form? Or should I ask as a guest if I'm allowed to play that character and then register with character name and post application?
Due to being able to change the display name, you can register the account with any name you can remember that isn't taken. But in site registrations must be in character.

What do you look for in a Marauders RP site? I look for an interesting plot, active and literate members, and then lastly, if it's pretty. 'pretty' meaning nice layout, decent graphics, etc.
I hope we have an interesting plot. And I thin the plot is going to change with member input. We're still really knew, but I'm hoping we become really very active and there isn't much I an do about the members' literacy. Layouts are also one of the things that are able to be changed by member input.
Is there anything you think we could do better?&& Is there anything you think would make this site more appealing to yourself and others? I'm sticking these two together because my answer really fits both. It doesn't bother me as much, but I know for a fact quite a few people are iffy on this subject. A lot of people think that even admins and staff should have to fill out an application for any of their characters, just like the members do. Also, since we may have some members who don't want to read explicit things, topics should be marked with an 'M' for mature, or something of the like.
I understand how people feel on the subject of staff filling out applications as well. As a sign that not even they are above the rules they are supposed to be strictly enforcing. But the applications are partially so that we know your skills and character. The staff are people who have been my friends for years and I know their skills having RPed with them for so long. And as for the Mature threads, I do think that maybe posting something that has a warning would be a good idea, but I don't want to make a rule making it mandatory because I think that if there is a thread for just certain people anyone reading that is doing so at their own risk.
