Lily sat in the seventh year Gryffindor girls' dorm. It was quiet and, if she hadn't known better, she would have guessed someone had come into the dorm and stolen all of the noise. The silence was so dense that nothing penetrated it. Maybe someone cast a spellAwards: she thought before shaking her head at such a notion.
Finally, when she could stand the eeriness of the silence no longer she stood and walked from the room quickly. Moving swiftly through the dead common room she groaned lightly. No one, she thought. Not a soul. As she exited the dungeon. She began to think. Memories flooding through her head as if they were all trying to fit through a mouse's hole in the wall. But they were elephants.
Lily remembered the first time she had walked through the castle in her first year. She had an internal fight. How was she make up with her sister. Petunia was one of the most important things to Lily. Next to her friends and parents. And when she got her Hogwarts letter a rift grew between the two girls. The rift grew until Lily only returned home on the summer holidays. Now seven years later, she found that the rift hadn't closed, it hadn't even shrunk. She knew she was never going to make up with Petunia. And it nearly killed her inside.
When Lily stopped and looked around she found herself on the fourth floor. Moving over to the window she sat on the sill and watched the lake. She could see the Headmaster speaking with someone, or rather, something. It was too small to make out, but she could tell that it was a disconcerting conversation. 289 words || outfit

James slowly walked towards the library with the idea of studying on his mind. He wouldn't think about Lily. That would only distract him. He looked down at the transfiguration book in his hands and sighed softly. 'Never really was good at it.' James thought as he continued on his way.
He walked up the staircase leading into the fourth floor corridor and noticed someone up ahead. Red hair. James stopped and thought if he should stop and chat or continue on. Deciding to stop, he walked up to Lily as a lazy grin spread across his face. "Hello, Lily." He said as he ran a hand through his messy black hair. His glasses sliding down to the end of his nose.

The voice that broke through her thoughts was none other than James Potter, arrogant and a pompous ass. But for some reason he was just irresistible. That, however, did not mean Lily May Evans was going to let his charm, charisma, and influence get to her. It was proven in her words to him. "What do you want, JamesAwards:" she asked, unable to bring herself to use his last name like she had in the previous years.
Lily sat there wondering as she waited for the boy to answer. "I doubt it's anything even remotely school related, and if you must ask, as you have over the past six years; no, James Potter, I have no intention of going out with you. I would sooner drink the Drought of Living Death," she said rolling her eyes. She wasn't going to let James in her heart, she saw what he was capable of. 154 words || outfit
